Metal Framing

Metal Framing

Dependent on the architects’ drawings, Form Construction supplies and installs different gauges/thicknesses of structural & nonstructural metal studs and track for interior gypsum wallboard systems. Metal studs, unlike wood studs, stand the test of time and will not warp, twist or bow, which provides the client with more durable and straighter walls.

Drywall

Drywall

We install a wide variety of drywall types relative to the architects’ specifications for different partitions. Drywall types include moisture-resistant board for wet walls, fire-stop board for fire-rated partitions and high-strength lite board for drywall ceilings among others. We also acknowledge LEED certification-seeking projects by using GreenGuard and GreenGuard Gold-rated gypsum wall board, which is often manufactured within 500 miles of the jobsite, contributing to the Regional Materials credits.

Acoustical Ceilings

Acoustical Ceilings

Form has decades of experience in the always-evolving acoustical ceiling industry. We provide and install a diverse selection of acoustical ceilings per architects’ specifications, including products from Armstrong, USG, Decoustics, and Tectum among others. These ceiling panels are aesthetically pleasing and play a large role in interior tenant fit-outs by providing cleaner, clearer and more easily understood acoustics.

Carpentry/Millwork

Carpentry/Millwork

We provide wood blocking and rough carpentry in preparation for the architects’ specifications and the clients’ furniture needs. Cabinetry, shelving, wall-talkers, and televisions require wood blocking because their weight cannot be supported by metal framing alone.

Doors, Frames & Hardware Installation

Doors, Frames & Hardware Installation

Doors, Frames & Hardware (also known as DFH) are often provided by others, but installed onsite by our carpenters.

LEED Proficiency

LEED Proficiency

With a LEED Green Associate on staff, we specialize in tracking recycling from demolition projects, thus diverting this construction & demolition debris from the waste stream. Form also selects and provides materials that contribute to potential credits for LEED certification including: Regional Materials, Recycled Content, Rapidly Renewable Materials, FSC-certified Wood Products, and Low (or no) VOC in adhesives. In 2014, we diverted nearly 150 tons and 91% of demolition materials from the waste stream, which included 21,908 pounds of post-consumer carpet tile and 50,030 square feet of ceiling tile. As related to the construction industry, a few environmental benefits of recycling are reduced demolition waste, eliminating landfill utilization, decreased environmental impact of producing new materials, and increased post-consumer recycled content in future materials.
